Using The Research Index Search Facility
The Research Index Search Engine has been designed to be
straightforward to use, involving just four steps;
- Select a COMPANY or INDUSTRY search.
- Type in all or part of the Company or industry name. This
can be in upper of lower case.
- Select START OF TEXT to find entries starting with the
text you have entered. Or, select IN THE TEXT to search
for a substring. For example to find all companies with
'BANK' in the title.
- Press the START SEARCH button.
NOTES
- For a list of all COMPANY or INDUSTRY entries, use a
blank line in (2).
- A partial search term can be used, for example "BANK"
will locate BANK, BANKER and BANKING. Use this
feature if you are not sure of a spelling: start with part of
the name.
- Using the IN TEXT FUNCTION, for example, COY
would locate both COMPANY, MCCOY and DECOYED.
- In this version of the search engine only one word or part
of a word can be entered.
- The current engine only searches the Company or Industry
heading and not the article heading.
